I give importance to the realisation of my thoughts, rather than a realistic portrayal of events in then society. I consider my paintings as a voice against the cruelties of man towards mankind and environment. The deep colours deliberately represent a personal revolt against the atrocities committed on humanity. I paint in different mediums, often trying to bring a new perspective to the place and society I live in. In my current work (in the exhibition) I have dealt with the issue of degradation of cultivable soil brought by human exploitation of land for surplus wealth. In the long run to keep pace with the needs of human civilization the soil has worn out into mere dust. The roots of living plants and organisms that penetrate it has no more got the strength to find nourishment. In the process our entire culture withers into a state of barbarianism. I think through this work about a distant possibility of a deep search for the fault lines in our culture, civilization and history that has adversely resulted in the degradation of our mother earth.

I have been here in Qatar for the last seven years during this period of time. I could analyse that my workmanship took a different mode evolving out of the political situation, culture, loneliness excitement apprehension and nostalgia that I felt in my life. You can easily understand that once you glance through the serious of my art work titled ‘Beyond The Scene’

I am graduated in BFA from College of Fine Arts, Kerala University, with specialisation in painting.

I received many scholarships and awards for my creative work in this field. Exhibitions of my paintings were held in various parts of India and abroad.

I had been working as a teacher of Fine Arts in various schools and colleges in Kerala since 1999. At present I am working at the Scholars’ International School in Qatar as the HOD of the Fine Arts Department. I concentrate to impart the basic concepts of paintings to my students through some simple techniques. I could make my students to take part in various painting competitions.
